| In
order to understand exactly how do I repair bad credit reports,
there are several things that I need to know. First of all, I need
to know my rights as far as state and federal credit reporting laws,
then I need to understand the steps I must take in order to get
negatives and mistakes removed from my credit report, also, I need
to understand how to negotiate with creditors to lower my overall
debt load 40% to 60%.
While
it is not that easy, and does take time, I can repair bad credit
reports myself. Or, I can let a company show me how do I repair
bad credit reports. There's plenty of advertising on credit repair
companies, but if I choose to hire one, I need to thoroughly read
their contract so I understand how long will take, what they will
do, and how much it's going to cost.
With
the basic knowledge, I can begin to repair credit myself if I want.
I now understand how do I repair credit reports by paying off old
debts, getting negatives removed, and negotiating with credit card
companies. I've read the directions on each one of the credit reporting
sites, so now I know exactly how to get credit report mistakes in
dispute, or get negatives that are already discharged removed. I'll
follow those directions to the letter so that I can increase my
credit score, as soon as possible.
I will
then take the time to call any of the creditors that I owe money
to so that I can negotiate see if I can pay the credit balance off
with less money. This means I may see a reduction in overall debt
load, but of course, I have to have a bit of cash on hand in order
to make this work properly. Once I have saved a bit of cash, I'll
call one of my creditors, offer them the amount of cash I have,
and see if they will accept that for the total debt. This is a way
of negotiating with credit companies to lower my debt load and get
things paid off easier. Again, I can hire a credit repair company
to negotiate for me, or possibly consolidate all my debts into one
low payment a month.
It's
not difficult to understand how do I repair my credit reports, and
is not difficult to find the time to follow the directions at each
credit reporting agency. Also, it's not difficult to understand
my state and federal credit reporting laws so that I know what my
rights are. But the other side, if I don't have the time, is to
hire a debt repair company, and see if they can do it all for me
for less money. |
